Kisstin Truue Hey ! One of my good friends, Chris wants to start at CRC soon! He'll probably go up with Crizz one of these days ! :) wish i was there. Wildcare was just not nearly as cozy as CRC, not to mention they are apparently full on volunteers. :(

Jeanie Stuntzner Something to crow about -- Edgar had a hatchday party on Saturday! Here she is showing off her cupcake! Three cheers for the Coolest Crow Ever!

Jenny Lee
Nike should be proud of her heritage!

Rough footage of the big owl's release. He transforms completely from "Gandalf" to "Wild Great Gray hanging out in a tree." Be safe, beautiful creature! Thanks to hubby Brent for working the camera!

Wow! Happy Hatchday, Edgar! :-)

Cascades Raptor Center CRC's Mouse University needs scholarship money. 21 baby raptors are almost ready to enroll!

A prime release site has been selected near Oakridge, OR; thanks to the help of a US Forest Service biologist doing a great gray owl survey in the area...

This is where I wish I had private property on good habitat! I'm jealous!

No windstorm, just crazy vet clinics that keep taking in branchers with minimal nest site info. You can only climb up a ladder so many times to renest before you start to lose your mind!

Cascades Raptor Center is preparing for the Gandalf release. He is flying like a champ, catching mice with ease and ready to catch some wild voles.

Sharon Parker What fantastic work your doing. Esp fond of the owls and red tailed hawks!

Jean Shirley If you visit Eugene, be sure to see the Cascades Raptor Center. Impressive work is being done here, and you can "adopt" a bird!

Jean Shirley I'm from the East Bay in California and volunteer at IBRRC in Fairfield. Louise allowed me to volunteer for a shift at CRC. Very exciting! A beautifully organized rehabilitation center and hospital where birds are number one! Thank you, Louise, for all you do.

Courtney Elam is it true owls will voluntarily foster babies? that is amazing! once foster parents are found, how do you find their nest?
