Prevention strategies are like a soup, education being a key ingredient in that soup. Policy changes, like the Social Host ... Read MoreOrdinance, are another key ingredient -- similar to a broth. Policy changes the whole environment in which conditions occur. We can have all the education on traffic safety in the world, but without speed limits and stop sign rules, Our goal is to pass this policy while educating the community and parents on why underage drinking should NOT be the norm!

I appreciate this diaglogue--which is exactly what we need to do more of, community wide. This topic is not just about educating parents; rather, about educating everyone and help provide support for changing community norms when appropriate.
