What do we do?

Well, our correspondents show up at inexpensive hotels in 24 cities in Europe and New York City, check out the rooms, and get a feel for each place. If they like it, they write a review and list the hotel, to help travelers find the ever-elusive "diamonds in the rough."

We were once deemed the "picky aunt" of budget European travel editorial. Hey, that's a compliment!

We do far more than simply help you find a bed.We also provide detailed city guides covering a range of topics (cheap eats anyone?)—all to ensure users are prepared to make the most of their travels. And, the city guides include budget advice and insider information that will get you off and running on the right foot.

What's new?

Lately, we're in the midst of a slew of development projects, are writing punchy and informative content daily via our "Cheapo-by-the-day" blog structure, and we're either coming from or going to Europe.

EuroCheapo has been featured in the New York Times, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, and Budget Travel magazine, among others. In addition, EuroCheapo was recently named one of PC Magazine’s “Top 100 Undiscovered Web Sites”.
