The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and ACA Publishing Ltd. are delighted to present a breakfast seminar discussion with three of the most successful international business people in China.
These seasoned China experts, who have each built hugely successful careers in this country over the last three decade...s, will share their insights on the keys to success for doing business here, look back over the major changes and they have experienced, and offer their advice to those starting to build their careers today.
All of the speakers, as well as the host of this engaging dialogue, are contributors to a recently published book, “My Thirty Years in China”, a collection of essays by leading figures in Chinese business and society over the last three decades.
The Speakers:
Roberta Lipson co-founded healthcare company Chindex in 1981 and was the creative force behind the Beijing United Family Hospital and the United Family Hospitals concept. She is an expert in many aspects of healthcare in China, and has been an active member of the Beijing business community for almost 30 years.
Scott Kronick, President of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide China and Ogilvy and Mather Group Beijing, has helped to build Ogilvy PR into China’s leading public relations consultancy. In his 21 years at the agency - 13 of them in Beijing - he established offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou and has built the firm into China’s leader in terms of size, client base, talent and relationships.
Ian J. Stones has played a pioneering role in a number of different industries in China since 1979, including the oil and gas, aviation, automotive, financial and pharmaceutical sectors. He has held a variety of senior corporate positions and today is a director and senior advisor for a number of Chinese and global companies.
Hosting the discussion will be the President of the European Chamber, Joerg Wuttke, who is also featured in this book.
Joerg Wuttke started his business experiences in 1988 when he first became professionally involved with China as the finance and administration manager of ABB Beijing, rising up through the ranks to become President of ABB China by 1994, and current General Manager and Chief Representative of BASF China. ”
