A few years ago, Standard Recording Co. released A Very Standard Christmas with the idea that a Christmas album could be fun and relevant. We told bands they could either cover a well-known Christmas tune or come up with one of their own and then stood back to see what would emerge. ...

Captain Kill and his Happy Pills, featuring members of Dead Beats is frontman John Kill's newest solo incarnation. Expect to hear some favorites from "redgreenblue" reworked for a full band, plus some unreleased and new material! A rare treat indeed!
Athens is a unique and energetic dance-rock-americana band from Chicag...o. Somewhere between Devo and Nick Cave, "Like reading Dr. Seuss while getting hit over the head with a guitar."
Bamboo Shoots are an electro-dance-pop 5 piece from Brooklyn, NY. "Mix innovative hooks and lean guitars with urban inspired beats and subtle world flavor, add a dash of Brooklyn cred but temper it with a lyrical openness" Oh, and did I tell you they won MTVu's best music on Campus?
Eisenhower Field Day is an indie-rock power-pop 4 piece from Indianapolis.

Everthus the Deadbeats are looking for a new practice space...

Tom Burnham I am either breathlessly awaiting another release or I am having a heart attack. I changed my mind and found I liked the old one better. Heard you in a record store in St Louis about 18 months ago when you were in a previous incarnation. Can't stop listening to JK&TML, a sonic whole with best of the best of progressive... sonic conceptuality. Love, madness, (as if they were different things) and John Kennedy Aural filigree inaction thought andeed. If that were the first, how about something sophmorIsh Kabibble. See. I think it Crumb who used the expression, "'Twas ever thus". Not to mention the annual "Night of the Living DeadBeats" homage to selfindulgent Kerouacidy and spiritual kin. But I digress.

Everthus the Deadbeats are thankful for "pay what you wish" albums.
