Christian Penrose My son & I really want a pet, we live in an apartment and do not have room for a dog and I wouldn't want him home alone all the time. I am not a cat fan so, we have decided on Guinea Pigs they are adorable he really wants one. I would much rather adopt then buy from a pet store. Do you have any for adoption? ...2 of course same sex. I am not sure what would be better males or females?

There are several guinea pigs available through our Critter Placement Program... See More, which is where the owners conduct the adoption process. In terms of which sex is better, it all really depends on the guinea pig's personality. For more information on guinea pigs, we highly recommend going to www. guinealynx.info which has tons of information on guinea pigs as well as an excellent forum full of members where you can ask any questions that were not answered in their information section.

Heather Kushner I love snakes and would be thrilled to adopt a boa constrictor,ball python or a green tree python. If anyone hears of anyone who is unable to take care of one of these types of snakes, please let me know!

We highly recommend checking back on our petfinder site a few times a week. In general, snakes are adopted out rather quickly.

Reptiles are hard to care for. I run a reptile rescue here in Tombstone, AZ and I get alot of calls for care advice. There is a man here in my town that sells baby turtles to any one with a $10 bill. I had ALOT of baby turtles but they went to good homes. work is being done to try and stop this man from selling them to minors, but so far no luck.

Jumpy Girl (formerly known as Gussy Girl), Cheese It (formerly known as Cheese Nip), Provolone (formerly known as Ritz), & Triscuit enjoyed the evening in a large ginger jar with a small skull for decoration! I currently have 2 ball pythons and a boa constrictor. I breed rats to keep a steady food supply.
