Experience Grand Canyon

Experience Grand Canyon A trivia question for all you fans out there: The first white explorers to stand on the rim of the Grand Canyon thought the Colorado River was just a little creek about 6 ft. wide. How wide is the river really? A. 25 ft (8 m) B. 100 ft (30 m) C. 300 ft (91 m)

Angie Leuallen We just booked a week at the Grand Canyon for late April; we've been there twice before...love the view, the hikes, the open nature and beauty...everyone should see the Grand Canyon at least once in their lifetime!

Experience Grand Canyon "You can enjoy any time of year at the Grand Canyon. Just keep in mind that desert and near-desert areas have no 'average' seasons. Year-round, the only predictable element is the extreme and dramatic weather that makes this place one of the most scenic areas in the world." Susan and Phil Frank from 'The Ranger's Gui...de to the Grand Canyon.'

Are you a hiker? Do you like helicopter rides? Do you want to spend time at the bottom of the Grand Canyon? Please let us know what kind of experience you want.

Hi there! Headed to the Grand Canyon on March 12-13. Taking my 8-year old grandson. What would be the best trip for him?

Hi Rene, thanks for the inquiry! Your grandson would love the Smooth Water Raft Trip, or perhaps its upgrade, the Canyon River Adventure. Though both are 12-hour days from the South Rim, neither tour is strenuous or dangerous. All of our tours are family oriented and appropriate for children as young as 4. Click on the link above to find out what we have to offer.

Alley Keosheyan Grand Canyon got its first "teaser" of spring sunshine this week, looks like it's gonna go "buh-bye" this weekend! Partly cloudy skies, slight chance of snow predicted for Thursday and Friday, probability of snow increasing this weekend, highs in the 40's, lows in the teens. http://www.grandcanyon.com/weather.html

Garret Nielson Prall So the President is going to Las Vegas. How does this foul up people's Grand Canyon experiences? Grand Canyon air tours are shut down out of the Las Vegas area. I guess it's "Sorry people, I guess you just won't be able to enjoy your once in a lifetime opportunity to fly over the Grand Canyon." Take mind if you have pl...ans on February 18 & 19.

Thx for the heads up Garret. Some possible alternatives for Las Vegas visitors who still want to experience the GrandCanyon (and who only have the 18th & 19th to work with): the Rim to River Expedition, Grand Canyon Skywalk Motorcoach Tour and the Las Vegas Inner Canyon Jeep Tour. Garret Nielson Prall Went to the North Rim once when it was stormy. Walking down the path near the Grand Canyon Lodge was kind of eerie. At different times the clouds moved and I got a glimpse of the Canyon.
