Toni I do not eat veal that is only because of the way the veal calves are raised. The same as I do not eat eat goose pate because of the way the geese are fed..But people gain a taste for things in other countires and we can choose to eat it, like or not. It is free world...and my choice as you have the right to yours...
When I moved to Denmark I kept an open mind...I pretty much like the food over here..except I dislike fried eels, but did try it...
But you can not condem other nationalities when you have never been there or understand their culture.
So PLEASE for those of you that might travel abroad make sure you can speak the language, otherwise you might be eating something you did not expect.... See More

The only issue I have with horse slaughter is now the poor horses are condemned to a longer trailer ride with questionable conditions. If we had more, smaller, better regulated slaughter houses in the US and actually adhered to the laws, it would be better for everyone AND would provide much needed jobs!

Toni? Give me a break! Do any of you ... See Morerealize who the single largest horse breeder in the US is? The BLM! Responsible and reputable QH, Paint, Appy, etc. breeders HAVE cut back considerably. Our last foal born here from our stallion and one of our mares turns 5 in April. Everyone else I know of have cut back as well. Except the BLM, who needs to get better BC options in place.
