Re:mission returns once again, this time at the Attic, with Southampton based DJ/Producer Propaganda. Since forming Propaganda in 2001, Andy Buckley and Matt React have built up an arsenal of releases on labels such as OffKey, Obscene, DSCI4, Position Chrome and Revolution. In 2006 the duo split due to Matt having other commitments but with a history of tracks behind them such as ‘Machine Soul’ and ‘The Real’ to name a few, Andy is set to keep the Propaganda name going strong. Being in his creative prime and still profoundly influenced by the roots of Detroit Techno and Electro, Propaganda will remain to create a unique and uncompromising sound.
With his first solo release being launched on OffKey, Andy’s forthcoming material is set to heavily assault the scene with musical eclecticism still merging powerful bass-lines with the distinct energy of techno. Remaining passionate about DJ-ing, Andy’s sets are also sure to remain propulsive. After performing gigs in the UK and Europe over recent years, he is ready to unleash his innovative, hard-hitting sound further a field.
Propaganda will be continually working with Raiden, The Sect, The Panacea plus other OffKey artists on projects for Offkey Records, as well as bringing his own distinctive sounds to label’s including Position Chrome, Freak, Subdivision and Revolution.
Also appearing are Faction residents Pandemic, Meecha, VKO & Cristo playing their own brand of big, dark and heavy drum & bass. Also in tow are Manchesters best female dubstep act, The Steppahs providing some weighty beats to get you in the mood.

After a brief hiatus, the d.fazed boys are back, and will now be operating as Faction Music. At this introductory event, we’ll be celebrating the re-launch of ‘Re:mission’ as well as highly-regarded North West DJ Meecha’s birthday. Expect to hear classics from across the board, but also an exclusive, unprecedented Faction Music set from Pandemic (Sic.note & Induc3d), playing all the new tunes signed to the Faction Imprint.
The headliner for the evening will be East London-based DJ / producer, EBK, a man currently at the forefront of the new school of drum and bass. With releases on Renegade Hardware, DSCI4 and Tech Itch Recordings, there aren’t many clubbers around the world who haven’t been shaken to the core by the rig-punishing sounds of EBK, knowingly or otherwise.
DJ residencies include the seminal ‘Renegade Hardware’ nights at The End, London, regular appearances at London’s 'Therapy Sessions' at Herbal, 'Def:inition' at Clockwork and 'Tech:nology' at Rhythm Factory. EBK has also had bookings around the world from Bangkok to Budapest, confirming his status as a champion of the underground.
With support for his music from luminaries such as the legendary, late John Peel and the modern godfather of d′n′b, Andy C, EBK has gone from strength to strength in recent years. His DJ sets are dominated by an upfront, forward-thinking selection, showcasing everything from classic neurofunk to the latest dubplates, hot off the press. The full 360 degrees is covered, so come prepared...
The headliner for the evening will be supported by birthday-boy Meecha and Dexfactor 2008 DJ competition winner Gloxxy. Also in support are Dawn Raid, Ape-residents and producers signed to Liverpool-based label Raw Recordings. Dawn Raid also won Sappo’s 1Xtra Remix competition last year with their remix of Sky and now have their tunes player all over the station. Pandemic will be showcasing Faction Music tracks for the first time in Manchester, and Erbman will be playing his dub-heavy selection with female MC Kimira. Finally, Metropolis’ DJ Tay plays with her new dubstep project, the Steppahs. The night will be hosted by the Bass Invaders, Frisko & Eddie P.
This event is sponsored by Choice Records. Please visit their website for a large selection of drum & bass, oldskool, breakbeat & hardcore vinyl delivered direct to your door. http://www.choicerecords.co.uk
