Faculty members are perennially busy people. Teaching, research and service opportunities can be difficult to manage by themselves, much less in conjunction with family-care, personal time, and all of those other tasks that life seems to require (especially during the holiday season!) How do you juggle your various co...mmitments without loosing your balance?
Please join us on December 4th from 9:00-11:00 AM in the Colonnade Club to evaluate your current relationship to time, reflect on your priorities, and draft a personal well-being plan for a life that is academically productive and personally satisfying.
This session will be lead by Dorothe Bach, Associate Professor and Assistant Director at the Teaching Resource Center. Dorothe directs the Excellence in Diversity Fellows Program, presents and organizes workshops, and consults individually with faculty and TAs about their teaching and professional careers. Research interests linked to her work as a faculty developer concern a variety of early and mid-career faculty issues including diverse faculty retention, life balance, interdisciplinary scholarship, and dual career couples.
