Dancing with the Stars pros hope the spirit, and rhythm, of dance moves people to take it up for their health.
Dancing professionals Louis van Amstel and Anna Trebunskaya will make Tri-County Mall their dance floor Saturday, Feb. 28, as part of the 2009 Spirit of the Women Day of Dance for Health. Mercy Hospital Fairfie...ld is sponsoring Tri-County event. Nearly 70 other hospitals and health centers will host an event on Saturday.
The day starts with a health fair scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Then van Amstel and Trebunskaya will perform from 4 until 5 p.m.

The Arthritis Walk is a fun-filled fund-raising event benefiting the Arthritis Foundation. The walk is a non-competitive, fully accessible 5-kilometer (3.1 miles) course with a one-mile option for those who wish to walk a shorter distance. The path is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.
And, the fun doesn’t stop... once you’ve crossed the finish line. Be sure to stick around for the post-walk celebration featuring entertainment, lunch, sponsor booths, Wall of Heroes, Advocacy information and valuable health information.
Walk as individuals or form a team. Anyone can be part of a team – family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, clients, etc. YOU can make a difference.
Participants collect donations to help fight arthritis; the nations number one cause of disability. It is a great way to get involved in your community, meet new people and improve lives by supporting the mission of the Arthritis Foundation.
WHEN:
Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the Walk starts at 10 a.m.
WHO:
Corporations, families, friends, service organizations and many others will hit Sawyer Point to walk for a cure. All of the proceeds benefit the Arthritis Foundation.
