The Babe Within

I think it is - at least when you're smoking you know it's no good for you. You never know what's actually in junk food - that's the problem. If you did, you would probably never eat it. It always seems to be advertised as healthier than it is and some people still believe that.

Anyone with a food addiction should do a ten day fast, just finished one and it is such a great teacher about your relationship to food.

Well, John, one tries but often fails to achieve perfection in life. I think the ideal is to give out fruit - apples, bananas and clementines, but one baby step at a time, don't want to be evicted from cul de sac...

Save the pencils and erasers for my kids, something useful for our schoolwork. We have a small bus load of candy from school already and the truck is coming in tomorrow...

I find that if I go to Twitter homepage and type in Babe Within, it comes up. I've just tested it using another login. I've added our logo so followers recognize our brand.

This is an excellent way forward - there are so many chemicals, so much hidden salt and sugar in processed foods that no wonder people get sick. Keep up the good work!!

Me too. I don't normally eat processed foods. If I do try something that I used to like I can't believe either how sweet or salty it is. I am never sure whether it's my taste buds that have changed or that much more salt and sugar were added. Maybe a bit of both, but it's no good for anyone. The good thing is that there are many more television programmes on about it now, taking the big food manufacturers to task.

As a parent of 2 babes within, I feel the program was wonderful. Young girls today need to learn the positive things about growing up, nutrition and just being a friend. My daughters often come out with things and when I ask where they learned it they say "Babe within". They used thier dance skills at 2 weddings, requested different fruits, veggies and chicken. Haven't made the fruit kabobs but will.

the girls got to practice their dance skills they used at a recent wedding. They were on the dance floor all night.
