Special Needs Homeschooling Does asthma impact your child's life? My hubby and 2 of my lovely children have asthma. One of my girls ended up in the PICU not responding to asthma meds. That was the day my eyes were opened to how dangerous asthma is. I find that the commercials to make asthma normal actually make it seem not so dangerous. What do you guys think?

Both my 5 year old son and I have asthma. In fact, I'm getting ready to call the pharmacy back to see if the insurance ever authorized his prescription. I totally understand!

My little ones also have allergies that compound it so sheets changed constantly, stuffies dryered. We ripped out the carpet and new mattresses with covers...that was a HUGE help to nightime attacks! Now I have to talk to grandma about her birds! ;)

Our seven year old had sleep apnea type symptoms. She had very enlarged tonsils, they came out, and she has been GREAT since.

my son also had his tonsils out which improved his apnea but he is still on the borderline between mild and moderate. we are slowwwwwwwwwwly increasing his time tolerating his cpap - we are between 2-4 hours a night. he has poor oral tone and some malformed structures in his mouth. sleep study is not all fun but there was no other good way to get the info. we are hoping to increase his endurance
