Thomas Calvert Mr. Mowat,
Mike and Pat Gahagan are my great uncles to whom your referenced in "The Regiment". Your words on them make me very proud and I appreciate the sacrifices they made much more after reading your book. Thanks!
Regards,

Thomas Calvert

Ron Trosvig

Ron Trosvig I have all of the books that Farley has published and in my eyes he is a champion of environmental and social issues while being quite entertaining! I am introducing a new generation to his early work (The Dog Who Wouldn't Be, Owls in the Family, etc) and they are timeless treasures. Take care, Farley

Evan

Evan Never Cry Wolf is one of the most un-scientific books I've read and helped perpetuate a myth of the "harmless wolf" which has led to the deaths of people like 22 year-old Kenton Carnegie. Read this info from an actual wildlife biologist, especially page 13-14, "a literary prank":

Wayne Kerr

Wayne Kerr An open letter to Farley,

Just finished "Sea of Slaughter". It was a heavy read and quite depressing to learn what the early Europeans did to the land, air and sea life on the N.E. coast of North America. Farley's research must have been extremely extensive and thorough. Writing the book must have been just as depres...sing as reading it, but someone has to tell the truth and many thanks are due to Farley for undertaking this daunting task. Now I am almost ashamed to be of European ancestry! Many thanks for opening my eyes, Farley.

Fran Duvall I like this caricature of Farley (from 'My Discovery of America')

Happy reading all!

Fran Duvall

Fran Duvall Hey Gang,
I thought I would share this surprising find! Farley's signature circa 1985! Found this quite unexpected in an old library book I borrowed the other day, he signed it to Mary, wonder why she ever gave it away...
