Born in 1982, started playing drums at the age of 12. He was rewarded several times in various music competitions held in Istanbul. In 1999, he studied jazz in Tannbergsskolan (Sweden) as a senior A.F.S. exchange student. That year, he was selected for Tannbergsskolan Big band and Hemvärnets Musikkår Lycksele (Swedish military band).

In 2001, he got enrolled in Istanbul Bilgi University - Jazz Performance Major with full scholarship and graduated with the 2nd ranking in 2005.
He became heavily entrenched in the Turkish jazz scene at a young age.

He went to SIM (School For Improvisational Music) in NYC where he had the opportunity to take private lessons from Billy Hart, Nasheet Waits, Tom Rainey and Jim Black. He has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and

currently pursuing his jazz performance masters degree in William Paterson University, he is studying with jazz greats like Mulgrew Miller, Harold Mabern and Bill Goodwin.
