Film Racing

The Film Racing Grand Prix is back and is challenging filmmakers around the world to create short films in 100 hours, from November 19-23, 2009. On Thursday, November 19th at 8PM EST, teams will be e-mailed a theme and a surprise element for their film. Teams have until 11:59PM EST on November 23rd to submit a film n...o longer than 5 minutes and 30 seconds. All of the films will be featured on filmracing.com and the top films will compete for thousands in cash and prizes.

This past weekend as part of the Brooklyn Film Race 2009, local filmmakers were challenged to write, shoot and edit an original short film (4 minutes max) in just 24 hours based on the following assignment:

Theme: Jealousy
Surprise Element : Prop - Aluminum/Tin Foil

Come check out the premiere of the films this Thursday a...nd vote for your favorites! Tickets are $10 in advance and can be purchased online at http://www.filmracing.com/Cities/Brooklyn.htm or at the door on the night of the screening for $12 (cash only) if tickets are still available. There are 3 screenings; 6:45PM, 8:30PM and 10:15PM and different films are playing in each screening.

Also, there will be complimentary wine poured before each screening from Bear Flag Wine!
