My husband is in find-a-grave.If you want to know where someone is buried, just put in there name and see what comes up. I have most of my husbands and my relatives listed in there. It is a awesome site, check it out

You can sign up to be a Find a Grave photo volunteer. Just put in your zip code and get E-mailed photo requests for cemeteries in your area. I've visited a dozen or more cemeteries in the past 2 years to take photos.

I've been a member for 6 yrs and 10 months, with over 5,400 memorials entered.

I HAVE BEEN A MEMEBER OF FIND-A-GRAVE FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW AND I LOVE THE SITE. I TOO,HAVE PUT SEVERAL PHOTOS UP ON THE SITE,ETC. IT IS A GREAT WAY TO LOCATE SOMEONE THAT HAS DIED. IF YOU CAN NOT FIND SOMEONE'S GRAVE AND YOU KNOW SOME INFORMATION,YOU CAN CREATE A MEMORIAL FOR THAT PERSON. IT IS A GREAT WAY TO CONECT WITH RELATIVES,ETC.

I met a cousin of my husbands this way. My husband and I are President and Secretary of our family reunion. I have posted information on each decreased relative as I get the bio. Now that is a great link for everyone to see exactly how we are related and read the obit anytime. Since there is no fee to belong, it is available to everyone. I enter what I know, keep updating as I find out more and offer to be transferred to a closer family member - if they decline, that's ok.

Well, due to this role, I have encountered one picture taking volunteer who apparently did not want to give up any of the Memorials he had established (not a relative). He made quite a fuss, but finally gave in.

how do you use this? I am trying to find my ancestors graves and was hoping I could find something here.

Sally, go to findagrave.com and search the site for your ancestors. If someone has created a memorial page for them they will be there. Good luck.
