Find My Family California Adoption Reunion Registry Become a fan of the now nationwide reunion registry...
In 1996 the California Mutual Consent Registry was established as a way for adoptees and birth family members, who are mutually searching for each other, to have their reunion facilitated by a "search angel". The registry, now with over 7,000 people, has resulted in hundreds of wonderful reunions. The goal is to user-...friendly and safe place where adoptees and birth family members can find one another at no charge. Our vision for creating FindMyFamily.org is to reconnect every adoptee with their birth family. While initially the registry was just for California, due to its success, in November 2009 we expanded the registry to all states. As a "Search Angel" the website and investigative research we provide is given free of charge. We rely on greatly-appreciated donations to help cover our expenses and to ensure we can continue providing this service for free. There are many businesses that search registries as an easy way of getting new business. The Mutual Consent Registry is set up to protect registrants from this by limiting what information is returned in a search. Be wary of anyone who contacts you with offers to "help" you in a search for a fee. Before you agree to pay for a search, contact creator and search angel Judy Sheinbein for advice on your particular search. Wishing all registrants a quick and fulfilling reunion!

The door bell rang and my legs turned instantly to noodles. Trying to balance and walk on thick noodles is impossible. Fortunately the door was not far away. I opened the front door and on my porch stood my sister holding a Poinsettia, standing next to her adult daughter. | Full Story

Matt Has anyone ever been successful in obtaining their original birth certificate in CA after they were reunited with natural parents? What about if they didn't have their birth parent info? I'd like my birth certificate and wonder if that is possible - I already know my birth mother listed.

"Find My Family" reunites a sister searching for the biological brother she never knew and a daughter searching for the biological mother forced to give her up for adoption...

Shari Lynn McIntyre Hello. My name is Shari McIntyre, I was adopted in San Bernadino, Ca. 5/24/69 At San Antonio Community Hospital. I know nothing of the adoption, as you know Ca. is very tight lipped about it. I am also looking for my son Zachariah McIntyre 8/3/89. In Paris Mo. Family sevices took him and his brother away from me and re...fused to give them back. The Judge said he prefers a 2 unit household. I know 1 isn't of age yet so I won't say his name. I really don't need to be sued or arrested for saying a minors name. Zachy was 7 when the state took him. But he was born in Prescott Az. It would mean the world to me if some one had some info on him. He is 20 now. But I want him to know that Mommy luvs him more "den the whole werld" I hope I spelled it right. That was our saying to each other. thank you.
