Face it. You hate midterms. You hate studying for midterms. You hate thinking about midterms. So let's rally. Let's protest. Let's go away and never come back! ....except we will. All too soon. But hey, getting out is nice at least.
I'm not positive as to the time. But it's a reasonable estimate...don't you think? I hav...e several people marked down as offering rides. If you're one of them please mark down how many you can take.
Recommended items to bring:
Bedding (blanket, sleeping bag...whatever you got)
Pillow
Bible
An extra set of clothes just in case you get messy
What ever you want
This is your weekend....if there's something you want to do bring it up on the wall

When I think back
On all the crap I learned in high school
It's a wonder
I can think at all
And though my lack of education
Hasn't hurt me none
I can read the writing on the wall
Kodachrome
They give us those nice bright colors
They give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world's a sunny day, Oh yeah
I got a Nikon c...amera
I love to take a photograph
So mama don't take my Kodachrome away
Do you ever wonder what happened to Polaroid Cameras? How cool would it be to go on a photo scavenger hunt (AT 8PM in the GREAT COURT) with a trusty instant round your neck? Think about bringing one if you have it....but don't bring the koda. By the time you get it developed....we'll all be gone (AT 10:30). And you'll be alone, you don't want that, we don't want that...so don't bring it. Also, if you do happen to bring it, we'll all sing Paul Simon songs...and you don't want that either. So leave the koda at home. You can bring the Polaroid if you must, but if you have been hanging around the 21 century at all, and happen to have a digital, you should bring that too. Cheers allRead More

Whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouses, and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet; and especially whenever my hypos get such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral... principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off - then, I account it high time to get to play capture the flag. This is my substitute for pistol and ball. With a philosophical flourish Cato throws himself upon his sword; I quietly take to the hallowed halls of learning. There is nothing surprising in this. If they but knew it, almost all men in their degree, some time or other, cherish very nearly the same feelings towards the academic building.
Call me Thomas. I invite you to join with Campus Crusade in playing capture the flag in our very own academic building. Meet in the Hang Out Room at 8 to seek and destroy the white flag (or the red if you're on the wrong team).
BASIC RULES:
(Note: these rules are tentative and my be adjusted at game play)
There are two teams, one with the basement and the portion of the second floor beyond the ramp, the other with the IT hall and the third and four floors.
Stairwells belong to the lower team until it reaches a landing of the other team (or neutral). To win, a team must bring the other flag back to the hang-out room.
Each team will have a set amount of time to hide their flag. It must be hidden in their territory and may not be in stairwells, classrooms, McKinnon Theater, bathrooms, etc. The flag must be visible on one side from an achievable location that would not endanger the player. It also must be reachable by a referee unassisted by additional people, tools, etc. A referee will accompany the flag while hiding to ensure the location is legitimate.
Once hidden the flag may not be moved by the defending team.
Each team will have a set number of tokens to designate defenders. Tokens may be passed from player to player. When tagged in enemy territory, the player may request to see the defender's token. If he/she does not have one, he is free to continue on. If the defender does have a token, they must escort the tagged player to jail (the hang-out room). They may escort only one player at a time, and the escorted player may not intentionally prevent, misdirect, or slow the walk to the jail. The defender may escort the player along any path they choose, but should it pass through enemy territory they themselves may be tagged (in which case the person being escorted previously will go free).
Should a player find the flag and be tagged before reaching the hang-out room the flag is set down at that location. The defending team cannot move it.
Jailbreaks will occur on timed intervals, becoming shorter in duration for each break.Read More
