This event was designed to explore a cross-section of the Flint community as well as existing and potential campus-community partnerships. Originally slated for staff, this session has been opened to in...terested faculty and students due to available seating.

FREE GUIDED CANOE, WALKING, and BIKING TOURS!!!
FREE FOOD and PRIZES!

Bikes, canoes, and guides are all provided. Space is l...imited. Reservations
are required for those wishing to canoe or bike. Space for the walking
tour is unlimited.

To reserve a spot in a canoe or on a bike, call 424-5486 ASAP and no
later than noon on Thursday, September 24.

All tours end with a FREE PICNIC in Riverbank Park!

University Outreach at the University of Michigan-Flint What: My Flint - Park(ing) Day

Time: 10:00 a.m.– 12:30 p.m.
Location: Clock Tower in front of the University Pavilion

You are invited to visit the Park(ing) Day spots on your own to learn about each organization and their purpose in staging this demonstration of a peaceful protest. We a...re also forming a group to discuss and reflect on the deeper meaning of Park(ing) Day over a complimentary lunch, so if you would like join the group – you are invited to meet Emily Johnson, the Flint Corps Coordinator under the Clock Tower in front of the University Pavilion at 10:00 am on Friday, September 18, 2009. University Outreach at the University of Michigan-Flint My Flint ~ Cultural Center Invasion
Flint has one of the most impressive Cultural Centers in Michigan. If you
like music, art, theater, and the stars, you will want to spend time in the
Cultural Center which is just a short walking distance from campus.
We will be walking to the Cultural Center, exploring the Whiting Audi...torium,
Flint Institute of Music (FIM), Longway Planetarium, and the Flint Institute
of Arts (FIA). Meet in the lobby of the UM-Flint Theatre at 11:30 am.
A picnic lunch will be served on the lawn of the FIA from 2:30-3:30
