Florida Festivals & Events Association Convention & Trade Show had a great Board of Directors meeting...lots of new learning and networking events planned for 2010.

The Annual Lions Bluegrass Festival will be held in Lake Wales, FL on January 22 – 24th, 2010. The event is sponsored by Bonita Springs Lions Charities, Inc. The event will feature food and beverages and a full line up of popular bluegrass bands. The event begins Friday, January 22 with an open stage jam at 7pm. The... concert festival is a two-day event beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday January 23rd and continuing through Sunday, January 24th. Music will include headline band Palm Bluegrass, in addition to Goldwing Express, The Fleas, Sawgrass Drifters, New River Boys, The Doerfels and Roger Bass Hillbillies Entry donations are $5.00 on Friday, $16.00 on Saturday and $12.00 Sunday. An All Access pass for the entire weekend is available in advance for $30.00 prior to January 15, 2010. RV and tent camping is available. Nightly RV rates are $18.00 per night and tent camping is $5.00 per night. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Florida Lions Camp for the Visually Handicapped, a private, non-profit camp established and dedicated to serving the needs of youth and adults with visual impairments and other challenging disabilities. The Florida Lions Camp began operation in 1974 and is considered to be one of the leading facilities of this type in the United States.
