Director's Commentary:
Paper Box is the most professional project I've done so far. Sadly the end product wasn't what I had originally scripted because of lack of time and money. Hopefully some day that will be changed.
The video was originally done for my Editing clas...s, and I used the guys in Production class to give me a hand with some ideas, concepts, and for the shoot day.
After shooting was over, it took me about 52 days to do all the special effects. Most of those days were trial and error, where I would do something, and then I would discard it because I didn't like it.
Fun Fact: The bike shot, where Gayle is riding on the bridge took me a longer time to edit than it should have because on filming day I made the mistake not to wrap her far leg in green fabric, so when I added the "fake bike" both her legs were in front of it, making it look unnatural. So I had to break the shot into frames and erase the leg from every frame. 508 frames.Read More
