Had an interesting experience a few days ago. I have a severe peanut/tree nut allergy...I ate a big bowl of blackeye peas, and my face swelled up and I got mild hives...Never happened before! Anyone else have that kind of reaction?

Does anyone have a child allergic to Locust Bean gum or other additives? I told my son's allergist that he thought I was smoking something. He thinks it is peanuts because the additive was in a food he ate the same time he had some peanut butter, but he has had peanuts since his initial reaction and no problems at all. By reading labels for foods... Read More he eats without issue, process of elimination brought me to the conclusion of this additive. He hasn't had a reaction since I eliminate the locust bean gum from his diet. Is this a rather uncommon food allergy?

Hi Everybody!!
I came across, quite by accident, a website...Allergykids.com
It is hosted by a woman who has 4 children with food allergies. Her name is Robyn O'Brien. She is a crusader!
I don't see why much of her information would not apply to adults as well. There is so much to know.
