Forest Park Public Library On Nov. 9, 1989, the Berlin Wall--a powerful symbol of the Cold War--began to come down. Did you know that a three-ton chunk of the Berlin Wall ended up on display in Chicago? Next time you're in the city, make a quick trip to the Brown Line 'El' stop on Western Avenue to see a relic of those tumultuous events, twenty years ago today.
