project is a 14’x 20’ mosaic mural
consisting of 70 individual panels when
assembled, depicts one large image of
The Mona Lisa, representing artistic
views of the community. Each panel is
the creation of local individual

The Garden District Neighborhood officers, along with officers of Art Youngstown Inc. are inviting artists to a meet and greet, that have shown inte...rest in our ground breaking efforts in creating an Arts District. We have invited William D'Avignon, Director of Youngstown's Community Development Agency, Sarah Lown, Youngstown's Development Incentive Manager, along with our Councilwoman Carol Rimedio-Righetti.
This meeting will give you the opportunity to ask questions, and meet everyone involved in a more personal setting. We strongly feel by working together, we can help each other in creating a successful Arts District.
If you are able to attend this meeting, please rsvp to this email by Thursday September 10, 2009 at 9:00 am.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask. You may invite any interested parties, all that we ask is that you rsvp, so that we can set up enough seating in the room ahead of time.

Forest and Valley Local artists gathered last weekend at the Eastwood Mall to begin assembling the 14-by-20 foot mosaic mural, which consists of 70 individual paintings. Official unveiling is at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 in a large frame in the Target concourse at the Eastwood Mall. Plans are to make a poster of the image for $15 each.The Art Outreach Gallery plans to display all the images and individual paintings.
