The Bean Cycle is owned and operated by the Brandt family. We have now been serving
and roasting coffee for Fort Collins residents for over 3 years. We have all
been in the coffee business for many years and some may even remember us from
the good old days of Java Plaza before it closed. Lesley and Penelope are proud
alum of CSU and our family has been established in Colorado for many generations.
We are vested in Fort Collins and surrounding communities so much so that we
have brought in a non-profit bookstore (Matter) to share our space. We support
the Bike Co-op, The Food Co-op, and have strong ties to other small businesses
in Fort Collins and the surrounding area, which gives us a strong sense of community.
Our goal is to have an ecological and sociological responsible business while
providing an excellent product. This is why you will find a huge selection of
organic, fairly traded, vegan products. All of our coffees are organic, fairly
traded and roasted in house. The vegetables and fruits in our juices and smoothies
are all organic and whenever possible they come from local farmers. We have one
of the largest selections of organic and vegan pastries in Fort Collins. Recycling
and composting our trash is a high priority. We ride bikes to work and encourage
our entire staff to do so as well. You may take comfort in drinking your coffee
while simultaneously being a great steward of the environment.

Our greatest assets are our employees. We believe the only way for us to reach
our ecological and sociological goals for The Bean Cycle is to have a friendly,
compassionate and knowledgeable staff. To accomplish this we hire like-minded
individuals and put them through a rigorous training. We believe everyone
should be paid living wages and have safe and healthy working conditions.
This is why we offer great wages and a free pass to Bikram's Yoga Old Town.
The quality of our coffee and specialty drinks is very important. A happy
staff equals a great cup of coffee. By investing in our employees a fun knowledgeable

At The Bean Cycle one is able to
enjoy a great cup of coffee while browsing through books at the Matter Bookstore.
Local art is celebrated and enjoyed
through monthly art shows. The Bean Cycle Matter Bookstore has become Fort
Collins' "school of the wise" where all are encouraged to think,
