Fort Hood Sentinel Lt. Gen. Rick Lynch will relinquish command of III Corps and Fort Hood to Maj. Gen.(P) Robert W. Cone during a change of command ceremony at 9 a.m. Sept. 22 at Sadowski Field. Lynch will later take command of IMCOM. Cone is the former special assistant to the commanding general at the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command at Fort Monroe, Va. Cone will be promoted to lieutenant general prior to the ceremony.

Fort Hood Sentinel Register now for the 2nd annual Parent Education Conference 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Fort Hood Resiliency Campus. Hosted by Child, Youth & School Services, the conference theme is Resiliency Rocks! Fort Hood Sentinel The Fort Hood Boxing Tournament main event begins at 6 p.m. at Abrams Physical Fitness Center. Individuals and teams will compete Sept. 8-15 to gain a spot in the finals. Final bouts will be held during the Main Event Sept. 15. The public is invited to cheer on their favorite Fort Hood boxer.

In the case of inclement weather the uncasing will take place in the III Corps Headquarters east atrium. The dress for the ceremony is duty uniform for military and casual for civilians.
