
Texas Wesleyan University The School of Arts and Letters is collecting new toy bears for the Fort Worth Police Department East Division. Officers use the bears with children in crisis situations. This year’s goal is 350 bears. So far, more than 200 critters have been donated. Deliver captured bears to the Dean's Office in Poly United Methodist Church #256.

More than 500 local elementary school students filled Martin Hall at Texas Wesleyan University Thursday to see the Brooklyn Jumbies perform their ceiling-high mix of music, dance and pageantry. The Jumbies are a New York-based stilt-walker group.

Jasna Reed achieved a goal that most can only dream of – winning an Olympic medal. The table tennis star and head coach at Texas Wesleyan University earned her bronze medal at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, competing in doubles with Gordana Perkucin and representing Yugoslavia.
