I can tell you this, I take great pride in saying that you are my rep. in congress and I know the heart ache others have expressed at their congress men/women.
Keep on track and we will weather this storm.
Spending freeze and a balanced budget.
The Dems are all ready talking about preaching balanced budget and most aren't buying it

A Senator stood and said that Americans are prejudice and that they think our President has no right to be in office. It is my belief that by the actions of Americans making history and electing the first African American President that it speaks volumes to contradict this statement. I find it offensive and wrong that the race card keeps being ... See Moreplayed so vividly. The American people ARE NOT prejudice!! They are afraid! Afraid of what the end result of all this new legislation is going to cost them. We, as American citizens, have the right to work and make a better living for ourselves and our families. Every dollar we make now is taxed to the max; it is taxed when we make it, taxed when we spend it, taxed to keep the items that we have purchased with our dollar. We are held accountable if we make bad financial decisions and there is no one there to bail us out; why should we continue to have to pay for the mistakes of others. It seems that plans are not well thought out; it is just quickly thrown together to make it look as if progress is being made by our government to fix all our problems. Sound plans have been presented to help our economy, such as, natural gas and all the benefits that it can provide this nation. Benefits ranging from economic stimulation in all sectors of commerce, energy independence from foreign oil, the generation of additional tax revenue to enviromental benefits. JOBS! JOBS! JOBS! This is something to really look at, if our government is really interested in helping Americans and our economy. But it seems that the real things are being pushed aside; and it confuses me as to why they are. Please pass this on to all our elected officials!!! Keep up the good work Frank!!!!!!!!

Cong. Lucas, I just mailed my Petiton for Writ of Certiorari to the United States Supreme Court MAGEE v. USA appealing the USDA appraisal for me to repurchase my farm & home which was based on an UNCONSTITUTIONAL depreciating paper promisory note currency borrowed into circulation compliments of the Federal Reserve Banking Corporation. My QUESTION to them is this CONSTITUTIONAL?

Would not it be better for the United States to SPEND our MONEY into circulation instead of it being BORROWED into circulation?

I hope you & your family have a BLESSED New Year.... See More

Soli Deo Gloria!

Let's see, what are the GOP doing to help the unemployed, oh they are to busy trying to block everything the dems are doing no matter if it is good for this nation or not. They don't have time to help the unemployed they are to busy whining because they are not the majority any more. This really saddens me. I would hope this country would come first but I guess the GOP comes first. Your becoming the Naysayers party.

Jane I think that if you were in the health care field or a health care provider you would take another look at this bill. A public option is not a good thing. The government needs to FIX the plans they have now (Medicare-Federal) and (Medicaid and Health Choice-State). I agree that we do need to look into health care and try to fix some of the issues but this is not the way to do that.

This bill will single-handedly destroy our country financially, and the truth that backs that up is IN the bill. Read that bill. Read summaries of the taxes, of the debt this country will buckle under. I am for healthcare overhaul. But this is the wrong way to do it. I am thankful there is a Congressman who is listening to his constituents, who is interested in the contents of the bill...Because few people are.

I agree fully it will be the end of our country as we know it. Look at Canada and take a long hard look. They are out of money and the citizens will tell you that they do not like their health care system, I have spoken with many of them. This bill may not be totally like Canada's but it has a public option. If the government takes on another health care system there will not be any GOOD health care providers around because they will all be out of business.

Mr Lucas, I am one of your constituents, I am in favor of the health care reform bill HR3200. Please support it. Single payer HR676 is actually the BEST affordable, Equally FAIR way to handle the costs involved but barring that... HR3200 is a start. Oklahoma has one of the highest rates of uninsured Americans within America. Something drastic needs to be done.

Mr. Lucas, THANKS for your updates. Do not support HR3200. Pelosi's plan will tax some insurance policies (page 11174) and starting 2013 would ban individual health insurance policies (page 94), would force individuals to purchase coverage through the federal government.

Frank, this is one of the most important bills I have seen in along time. There are many bills that are important. However, when a vote is being forced without the opportunity for a bill to be reviewed (good or bad) it is a complete waste of taxpayer money and a horrific injustic to our rights as American citizens. First you say they are not policing the companies enough (I doubt if Senator McCain had gotten into office he would have done anything different than what has been done so far), second when they propose the Consumer Financial Protection Agency you lump it in with all the bad and say ooooo it is dangerous.
