Maryland Shakespeare Festival
Maryland Shakespeare Festival's school tour takes a one-hour introduction to Shakespeare's plays into 40 middle schools throughout the state. MSF hires eight teaching artists each spring to perform Shakespeare Alive, and teach six in depth artist-in-residencies. Contracts range from $275-$350 a week, and last from mid... March to the last week in May, five days a week. (It is possible to have an evening and weekend job or to take other theatrical work with this contract.) MSF provides extensive teacher training. Most performances are in Montgomery, Howard, and Frederick counties.
