I'm so sorry to have missed the last book club meeting, family obligations kept me away from the computer. I am plowing through this tome now and I do hope to make it to this one. My apologies for the no-show.

Freedom Book Club In our February meetup we will be talking about "Everyday Anarchy" by Stefan Molyneux, with a chance to chat to the author! Here is a summary:

Anarchy is a word that means -- "without leaders" -- and it is considered dangerous, subversive and disastrous by most. If we open our eyes and looked carefully around us, we see... that anarchy is very often the greatest treasure and the most potent freedom that we have. We do not have leaders to tell us what to do for a living, who to date or marry, what hobbies to pursue, which books to read or movies to watch -- "anarchy" is the unforced choices that are so precious to our basic liberties -- and yet we remain so frightened of the word.

"Everyday Anarchy" explores the air of voluntarism that we all breathe, but so often cannot see. Why are we so attached to a life without leaders in a private world, and yet feel that such leaders are so desperately necessary in our public lives? The answer to this paradox, the unraveling of this riddle, will surprise you.
