Freedom Session Hey all, just to let you all know that Ken is in Toronto this week for a conference and then also meeting with contacts regarding Freedom Session. He had a great meeting today with a pastor from a large church there ( who will be starting F.S. and are really excited about it ) and has more meetings with leaders up until Monday. Ron Sawastsky Freedom Session has been AMAZING to put is mildly. I did not realize how freeing it would be to share with other men the struggles I have had for so many years, and how this would finally begin the healing process I have sought for far too long. I have been a follower of Jesus fo many years, but clearly I had and sti...ll have so much to learn as I grow more like Him. It has not been easy, but something this worthwhile seldom is easy, even though I would say that this journey I started in September has been and continues to be imperative; something I cannot afford to cop out on.
Laura So many amazing things are happening with our little Freedom Session group at Surrey Alliance Church this fall. So many breakthroughs have already begun, and we only just finished session 6! Thank-you God for shining light into the darkness. Thank-you for giving us loving accountability partners to share the tough time...s with, and thank-you for holding us as we go down deeper into that darkness in order to be ready for the healing that is to come. Ya God!
Jessica How could you not be a fan of FS! When your going though it it seems like it will never end and now I wish it hadn't. There is something amazing that happens when you take the time out of your life to give God full control, he always meets you and when you meet with God you are forever changed.
Mary Higham I definetly would encourage people to join FS. Having graduated this group I feel like its given me more opportunity to be fully free to be myself. There is a wellspring of healing available, and its so good. I have joy in my heart and excitement for the future to engage in all that God has in store for me. Thank y...ou my Lord for sticking with me thru all the stuff in my life. Thank you to all the wonderful people in my group, I hope you are doing well.
Freedom Session a big thank you to all of you who've shared a bit of your journey. How about you GUYS? I know ~ 40% of Freedom Session participants are men. I also realize fewer men are on facebook,...so I'm counting on wives, girlfiends and daughters of FS grads or participants to encourage their "man" to spend a few minutes encou...raging others by sharing a bit of their story. Your stories bring courage and hope to others.

I started to attend FS a couple of times, and never finished the program due to fear of facing the tough stuff that simply I didn't want to face. Well... what an amazing load off of my shoulders when I DID face it and went through the process of forgiveness for those who have hurt me. I no longer see hatred or feel fea...r when their faces enter my memory... my heart no longer beats a thousand miles a minute when I see someone that reminds me of them. Those hurts, and the memories are truly healed. Thank you God... and thanks to my amazing sponsor who spent many, many hours listening to my inventory, and praying with me for the healing of those memories.
Now I have the privilege of directing FS at Surrey Alliance Church for the second year! A big shout-out to the men and women at the SAC FS, and an even bigger shout-out to God!

I attended Freedom Session at Southgate in Langley last year and God has used FS to
drastically change my life. He has taken me out of my depression, self
hate , my awful coping mechanisms and has spoken TRUTH into my life. I
no longer believe the lies that satan had put on me. Freedom Session
has showed me God’s true natu...re. His love for his Children. Once I was
able to start to grasp even just a little of His amazing love I really
wanted to get out this pit that I was in. I started using the tools
that i was learning every week. I learned what my coping mechanisms were
and why I do them. Looking back over this past year I can’t believe how
far I’ve come. I came to FS a wounded and scared person. Thinking that
my past was always going to define my future. FS was tough but so rewarding. I am really a new person. For all of those just starting out on this journey- STICK out the hard part. God's freedom is amazing!
Joan Spencer I attended FS about 4 years ago, & still vividly remember many "Ah ha" moments as I grasped various truths about myself and my journey. The most memorable lesson for me was realizing that I needed to forgive myself rather than mentally berate myself for mistakes - when God says He will forgive me, who am I to say I can't be forgiven?
