French Paper was well represented at AIGA Design Camp in Northern Minnesota last weekend.
National presenter Aaron Draplin of Draplin Design Co. North America gave French a nice shout-out for producing the cover stocks for his ingenious Field Notes brand.

Erik Johnson of Charles S. Anderson Des...ign Company gave a packed 300 slide presentation of 20+ years of French Paper promotions and products. THink ON PAPER books and the Brian French Paper Specs were on hand for attendees to take home.

Ben Levitz of Studio On Fire, who's consulted on letterpress-friendly lines for French, was at the sponsor's mixer on Friday night showing samples. He even brought a table-top letterpress machine, so attendee's could pull a print or 2 themselves.

2009 marks 20 years of CSA Design collaborating with with French Paper Company on t...he creation of papers, promotions, products and a sometimes larger-than-life brand image.
This recent pilgrimage from Minneapolis to Niles, Michigan provided a perfect opportunity for CSA and French to regroup, refocus and gage the way forward for America's most innovative family-owned paper mill.
French Paper's dedicated sales people, chemists, mill workers, shippers and office staff pitched in to make the visit incredibly productive– a living seminar on paper-making, green energy, engineering and distribution.
We encourage anyone who loves paper to visit the French mill. It is a powerful example of a small family-owned company in small town America competing against large corporations through the use of renewable energy (hydroelectric power) and pioneering ideas.Read More
