- The Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) Schools Program at CSU Fresno has been serving 6th-12th grade students in the Central San Joaquin Valley since 1980. MESA encourages students—especially those from underserved populations —to learn about math, engineering, and science in new and exciting ways. Furthermore, MESA prepares students to go to four-year colleges and universities and eventually graduate with math and science-based degrees. Major elements of the program include:
