Fresno Grand Opera Bocelli in Saroyan. WOW!!! So in North America it's Carnegie Hall and the New York Phil. Only other place he will sing in a theatre is Fresno!!! Can not believe it!
Hanna Nielsen The first time I saw La Fille du Regiment all the way through was on video featuring Dame Joan Sutherland. I was completely blown away! So glad you enjoyed this recent performance. My best to all of my FGO family this season.
Fresno Grand Opera Just got back from SF's production of The Daughter of the Regiment. Personnally thought it was one of the best productions that I've attended. Even tho Florez didn't have the Pavarotti type of voice. It was still able to fill the hall and extremely expressive. What a great talent and very mature phrasing beyond his... years. I was very engaged by the performance. Looking forward to having him on our stage!
Fresno Grand Opera Team 200 and Fresno Opera's staff is attending San Francisco Opera's production of The Daughter of the Regiment this Sunday @ 2pm. We are doing a bit of reconnaissance, focusing on Juan Diego Florez who is schedule to sing a concert for us in 2011. Tickets are sold out and orignally $105. We did a group buy and have... 5 left.
