Janet Hinkley The good news is that the sable German shepherd that I adopted from animal control came back heartworm NEGATIVE! Now she has had her 6 month heartworm prevention shot and just needs her last distemper/parvo shot and her vet work will be done!

Paula Delcore Hadden I stopped by the Animal Control today. There are some new dogs that are in there and i was going to post the strays on craigslist. There "was" a corgi mix there named Becky. She was adopted today while i was there. Gotta love the happy stories!
Friends of Genesee County Animal Shelter, Inc Part/all of the purchase fee for the animals in this folder was covered by the money raised by Fenton's Animal Health Clinic during their yearly "Santa Paws" photo shoot in Fenton. What a wonderful gift of almost $500 they raised for FGCAS! Thank you!

our younger members (I think she was 13 or 14 at the time) put it
together for us. Youtube removed the music from the second part but
it's still powerful stuff. And, strange as this sounds, many of the dogs I remember, I gave them names when I wal...ked them, so that when/if they were euthanized, they wouldn't die without a name. The cats...well, with a 97% euthanasia rate for cats, I just didn't go in their adoption room because it was too depressing. The older members will understand and may remember some of these faces too. Ben, you should see Charlie on here? (was adopted by Ben)

Paula Delcore Hadden Out of curiousity, because FGCAS is in Montrose... has anyone heard of a missing alaskan malamute in Montrose? There was a post on craigslist saying someone found him. He had on a collar that was getting a little tight and he had obviously been on his own awhile or just neglected. I contacted a couple people that had ...posted they lost malamutes but this was not their dog. There was also mention an older man used to walk a similar dog but no one knows where he lives. I have been told he is a very sweet dog. Also told a kind sole is going to get him groomed and try to find his owner.

I need a rescue group to come into Petco on Sunday, January 17th for a National Adoption Weekend at our store. I was hoping that your group could come, and have some foster dogs (from whatever rescue) that came from Animal Control that are available for adoption. It is a chance for you guys to tell the public about t...he shelter, and maybe some dogs will get a home! It is a National Day, so it will be published and advertised that you will be there for potential pet parents.
If you are a rescue group reading this post, please respond as well. I need a regular group to have dogs available on the weekends for Petco. We are committed to our "Think Adoption First" philosophy, and by becoming an adoption partner, you are elgible to recieve money we raise from our fundraisers we hold throughout the year.
WE WANT TO HELP! (also during the year we have donatable merchandise that you are elgible for)

Get better soon, you and your mom are missed BUT there are a few new volunteers (some who don't have computer access) who are there almost every day so the dogs are ge...tting out to walk but they still miss you two greatly! Experience and love shine thru both of you!

Please PLEASE consider if everyone could donate:
$1.00 a month it would total $262.00 a month. That would cover 5 more total adoption fees for needy animals each month. That would mean 60 more animals a year could be helped. $1.00 a month wou...ld total $3,144.00 extra in donations a year.
$2.00 a month would total $524.00 a month. That would help 10 more animals a month, or another 120 a year! $2.00 a month would total $6,288.00 extra in donations a year.
$3.00 a month would total $786.00 a month. That would help almost 16 more animals a month, or 192 more a year! $3.00 a month would total $9,432.00 extra in donations a year!
You can get $1.00 a month by just turning in your soda/beer bottles. Or, by not having your McD's "supersized a couple times. A buck is nothing these days!
But, when it's teamed together with other caring people's "bucks", it becomes powerful and lifesaving.
