On Wednesday 18th November the Museum's Society of Friends will be showing a programme of rare archive footage, newsreels and RAF training films from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s from 7pm onwards in our Short Lecture Theatre.
Admission is free and members of the public are very welcome to attend.
A must for any aviation b...uff or lover of vintage filmography these events are usually very popular. As our lecture theatre holds just over 200 people we would therefore recommend that you arrive no later than 6.50pm to avoid disappointment.
This evenings programme will consist of the following films:
1940s Newsreel: "Fighter Pilot"
1945 RAF 'GEN' Newsreel: "The Battle of Britain"
1959 Documentary: "The War in the Air"
1969 Documentary: "The Battle for the Battle of Britain" - the making of the film.
