Yeah, I REALLY do wish I could go, but sadly I'm on the wrong side of the pond. The best I've been able to do this Spring is see the very small centenial commemorative exhibition on written Futurist material that was at MOMA.

But I did read the English version of the exhibition catalogue the other week and it is quite a stunning exhibition. It is... Read More a bit short on the non-painting works (notably in sculpture), but that media always was its strongest point. So I'd highly encourage anyone in Rome who hasn't seen it to do so this week, since it's only there for another week I think. And anyone in the UK or other nearby countries to see it on your next trip to London this summer.

Despite the reactionary politics, probably my favorite modern (i.e. pre-war) avant garde movement visually. I wish I could see the centenary exhibition touring Paris, Rome and London right now. And the Russian wing of the movement is gorgeous also!
