Hi Zaheer,
Have you tried searching for Junior roles in Birmingham on our site?
http://www.gaapweb.com/Browse/birmingham -Junior-Jobs-R81C1071T7196.html
That may help you. Other than that, I'm afraid search engines are going to be your best bet. We don't generally post Graduate Schemes and tend to post jobs on an individua...l basis, but its worth googling "finance graduate scheme birmingham" in case you haven't already. I hope this helps.
Regarding achieving a 2:2, whilst some firms specify that they prefer 2:1 candidates, most actually don't specify desirable grades. Typically firms are more interested in who you are, and so I think you'd only be closing very few avenues, if any, by achieving a 2:2.
Good luck!

Dear all,
You may find the following link useful. It is a link to SHLdirect.com's facebook page. SHLdirect.com provide psychometric and assessment tests that employers regularly use when recruiting. The results can help you find out about yourself and your skills, and which skills particular employers may be looking for....

Moin,
As we are a job board and not an advertising employer, it would be best for you to search for your desired part-time job through our search engine at www.gaapweb.com. We unfortunately cannot offer any employment directly, but have many advertised. If you simply search 'part-time' on our site, you will be presented... with a wealth of part-time finance jobs for which you can consider applying.
I hope this helps, and good luck with your search.

Mudassir,
It is probably best to contact a recruitment agency directly. GAAPweb is a job board and not an agency. Some of the most useful sites for you would probably be
http://www.michaelpage.co.uk/jobs/accoun ting-tax-treasury/browse.html?mc_id=1401 618
www.reed.co.uk
http://www.credit-suisse.com/uk/en/
Good luck!

Hi Claire,
As a jobsite we can't source jobs for individuals, but if you include the exact term "part-time" (using the quotation marks) into our job search field then it will bring up some relevant roles for you.
It's definitely a good idea to get yourself some experience if possible; employers will look favourably on ...it and it will help you decide which direction you may wish to take with your career. If you do decide to use the GAAPweb search in this way, we also have a job alert feature which will send you an email regularly informing you of new and relevant part-time positions in your area.
You could also try writing to/emailing local, relevant businesses explaining your desire to gain some part-time experience. You could find that you're exactly what they're looking for.
I hope this helps and if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask!
Craig

Hi Richard,
I believe the general consensus is that if you require sponsorship, then you need to be studying for the qualification that they ask of you. However your application may still be considered if you make the employer aware of the fact that you are willing to fund your own study of ACCA. It's entirely at the di...scretion of the employer, but make your situation clear in your application and it is likely that they will still consider you for the role.
