Galway Chamber Business Awards 2009 in association with VHI Healthcare will be presented at the Galway Chamber President’s Dinner on Thursday June 25 in the Galway Bay Hotel.
We look forward to a wonderful night of celebration of all that’s great about Galway Business. Fresh from the success of the Galway Stopover of th...e Volvo Ocean Race, Galway Chamber is delighted that Failte Ireland Director of Regional Development Mr. John Concannon will be our after dinner speaker on the night.
John, who was the face of Failte Ireland during the stopover will speak to us about the stopover and Failte Ireland’s role and importantly about the legacy of the ‘Volvo’ and what it will mean for us and for tourism into the future.
The festivities on the night will start with a drinks reception al fresco, with entertainment, followed by the actual business awards, followed by dinner, our guest speaker and finally by Galway band The Timbertramps who wowed on the Breathnach Quay stage during the stopover.
We would like to thank all of the chamber member companies who entered the business awards. The standard of entry was incredibly high and the selection process was very difficult.
Deciding on the shortlist with three finalists in each of eight categories was a difficult task. These finalists have now met with the judging panel and the category winners plus the overall winner will be announced on the night of the President’s Dinner.

‘This is a huge night in our calendar, we look forward to it and to celebrating business success and effort among friends. While the President’s Dinner is still a formal event ticket prices have been reduced to €75 euro per person or €700 per table of ten. It will be a night of great food, entertainment and company. We hope you’ll be there’, he said.
