LIVE in the LICM Theater – Peking Opera Excerpts of Monkey King presented by Chinese Theatre Works
Sunday, November 22 at 1:30 p.m.
One of the historical and beautiful ways the Monkey King adventures were passed from generation to generation in China was through the Peking Opera. Our friends from the Chinese Theatre Wor...ks will be presenting a sampling of Peking Opera while introducing us to this century-old art form. The program will include an introduction in English and sung in original Chinese by classically trained performers in full stage makeup and beautiful costumes.
Ages: 3 and up. Fee: $4 with museum admission ($3 LICM members ), $8 Theater Only.

Chinese Opera Face Painting
Sunday, November 22 at 3:30 p.m.
Join us in the LICM Theater for a demonstration of traditional Chinese opera face painting. Our friends from Chinese Theater Works will explain this ancient art form and show us how they get ready for their performances.
Ages: 3 and up. Fee: $4 with museum admission ($3 LICM members )

Calling all chefs! Join us as we learn the art of making spring rolls. Spring Rolls are appetizers that are eaten fresh or fried all over the world and are very popular in several Asian countries. Make and taste your new vegetable creation.
All Ages. Free with museum admission.
