I am growing paperwhites in my store as well. Literally on the rocks! You can use a saucer or pot without holes, fill with rocks and set the bulbs on top of the rocks then add water up to the bottom of the bulbs. That's it, just add water to keep roots covered. I'm gonna try that cocktail mixture, though. These guys do get top-heavy. Thanks!
