This Saturday I and a rabble of other authors will be descending on the Watford Colloseum for GamesFest 4. Not only is the show a celebration of all types of gaming – miniatures, RPGs, computer games, ...
David

David Thanks for your time yesterday at Games Day. I know you have to sit there, but thanks anyway! It was great to talk to you about the 'buzz' of the design phase - especially in relation to the tomb kings book and about the de-restictions of the vampire counts. Best of luck with your freelance work.

Francis Funke Gav in your opinion, will the Dark Eldar have a new codex next year? Who do we have to send cookies to, to make this happen...

Greg

Greg I finished the Space Hulk Novel a few days back and I just had to say fantastic job Gav. The moment I found out that the colour texts in the mission book were extracts from the novel I had to read it - well done sir! Superb, and much better IMHO than the Black Reach Novella! Now whats this about a Space Marine novel sir? Colour me intrigued!

Glad you like it, it was a nice change to do something relatively short and very pacey. As for the Astartes, there's no release confirmed yet, but I will be contributing to the Space Marines Battles line of BL books.

Just read your blog on the CSM's Codex. I think people are missing the point of playing Warhammer 40K. The fact that you can have a small army that packs a big punch. Whilst there where some nice mini armies in the old book, i believe that it has taken a turn for the better. i mean why should an army old Death guard be... limited by what units they can take in the book??, ok the chaos mutations where nice. But as always there is plenty of room for improvement, i mean if the book was perfect how would Games Workshop get better eyyRead More

Mark - If you are a published writer, contact BL through their website. If you are not, you will have to wait for their open submissions window next year. Keep an eye on the BL website for details.

Jay Batsford

Jay Batsford Just finished reading Grudge bearer! Fantastic read!!!!!! Im tempted to have a go at writhing a story and am hoping to carry on the story of Barundin and Zhufbar much like Nathan Long did with G&F would this be ok?

I always had it in the back of my mind that any follow-up books would deal witht he lives of other characters from Grudge Bearer. For instance, it would be cool to write a novel about Dran the Reckoner's exploits in Bretonnia, or the adventures of the disbarred mad engineer.

Gav Thorpe The first draft of Path of the Warrior has just been despatched to the BL editors. Next job is the synopsis for my next Space Marines novel, and then plunging headlong into The Crown of the Blood (really excited about that!). No rest for the wicked.
