I have my Matterhorn now trying to get my head around how everything works either its in German or its the wrong manual but I think I am nearly there. We are planning to go out for our first trip the weekend after next then i think after that we should know where and how everything works.
Is there a annaul Geist Rally in the UK?

Margaret Joan Michelsen-Gies Hi from Australia, just bought our first 2nd hand LV485, unfortunately no manuals, but think we have it sorted out..if anyone has any manuals for this model, would appreciate an email..margnterryc@bigpond.com

Claire have you visited the new owners club website yet? Don't worry if you're not really a 'club' person, it's more like an owners' forum and info site and you'll have the choice later to join the club proper if you so wish - but no pressure we promise. We would just have called it geistowners but that was already taken

Claire OK IT'S FINISHED!!! The new Geist Owners Club website is online at www.geistownersclub.co.uk you need to create an account and log in and you can use the forum, post items for sale, add events and generally be an active user! It has taken ages as we've done it in our spare time but hopefully it will work ok. To add a ...pic to your profile go to user control panel in forum and upload avatar (photo) no larger than 250kb and 120x120 pixels. Hope that makes sense!

Judith Hi all Geist caravanners, we're in the process of buying an LV485 (2004). Trading our same age Swift in against it. Previous owners of geist must only have used a cople of times - it still smells new. Any helpful comments and phots would be appreciated.

David So was the fellow Geist owner who waved at us, as we Q'd in traffic in Colne on Friday evening on this group??

Geist Direct I know that there is a temporary steering group in place which is seeking feedback and support for the club (I'm not on the group) and you can get in touch via geistowners@googlemail.com. I hope that the website will stir things into action but it's the owners (not the manufacturer) that make a club what it is, so plea...se do get in touch with the group if you'd like to be involved.

Geist Direct Quick update - due to my hols and other work commitments, the club website has been slightly delayed but is still on its way. Thank you for your patience. :-)

Claire Ok now I'm getting very envious of all these folks with underfloor heating! We've managed a few weekends away, my mum and sister are in our Geist at Gargrave near Skipton this weekend and we've booked a week near Scarborough shortly so we're getting plenty of use out of the van. I've not tried towing yet and I fully in...tend to take a towing course when I find time - how many of our lady caravanners are confident and competent towers? Give me some inspiration please girls! Claire :-)

Maureen we also have a geist the second one one in 4 years and we are very pleased with this new one away every weekend on rallies with the local caravan centre. we have just come home from a two wek holiday which was brill up in Norfolk we rally all year round and we are always cosy and warm and have no problem we the blown ...air heating but we can only use the underfloor heating when we are on electric and mainly on rallies we run on our battery an solar panal whoray for geist a great caravan

Mary Hi, we have had our 2006 Geist XK565 from new for just over 15 months, and it is the best caravan we've ever had! We really gave it a work out last June by going on the road for 3 months, touring Norfolk, Suffolk, Kent, Sussex Hampshire, then down to Exeter before the final run home to Cornwall. It was a pleasure to li...ve in, and we didn't want to go home. we spent New Year in it up at Looe, and we were as warm as toast; we have the underfloor heating in ours which is just BRILL. wish I could say the same about the blown air heating; due to Geist's strange habit of punching holes in the airducts, that wasn't a lot of use, and we used a fan heater most of the time. Hope to go to Scotland in September so any solutions about the blown air would be very welcome!

James Armstrong Only just found this and the timing couldn't be better. We bought our first caravan about six weeks ago and it just happens to be a Geist AK495. Two trips later, 1 week and 1 weekend and just about getting to grips with everything and no major problems so far. Now trying to purchase an awning but no one seems to be ...able to tell me what size I need so can anyone else tell me? I have been told I can measure it but there are two conflicting ways of measuring so all help is greatfully received.
