Genece Was feeling under the weather yesterday. Stayed home, worked on more fine tuning of the website & painted--all from my couch with a blanket and cat curled at my feet. Today, I'm feeling great! Thank goodness for Echinecea & Goldenseal--my winter friends.

Color is an obsession. It taunts me as a daily painter. My need to bring color to form; to bring beauty to color is what transforms the brushes into strokes of passion. Two women walking in the rain isn’t ...

It’s been awhile since I’ve painted something whimsical. The elephant is the perfect companion to a few of my other wild animals.

Genece Besides painting, one of my other favorite passions is wine and the vineyards. Here, I combine my appreciation for peaceful vineyards with my intense love for painting.

The peaceful beauty of a vineyard is what draws me to the wine country. It rejuvenates and pleases my palette. Painting a vineyard stirs tantalizing memories and exotic desires for a good dry wine … bold in flavor, savoring the sensual liquid that melts my soul.

Brian Siedlecki Good luck with today's project! Just keep thinking of how good you will feel when it is all organized again.

Genece I'm still deep in painting. However, I must stop myself ... as much as I can lose myself for days in painting, chores need to be done. Today, it's the art studio. No excuses! It's not like it will be an all day job -- we're only talking about a couple of hours to reorganize the way I'm wanting it. Okay, okay! I'm off to the chores...

Genece Painting today! So much for getting chores done!

Besides a passion for color, I enjoy painting figuratives, landscapes and seascapes. In this painting, it is symbolic of my own love for rowing away from shore–finding the perfect spot to stop for long moments of quiet contemplation. Boating is one of my own favorite pastimes.

Genece I've been working on an online gift shop. Though not complete, you can see what will be offered. There are a few items up and available (calendar, book, postcards, and mug).

Kerry Vincent I really like the bits you are adding about the techniques used on the paintings on your blog, Genece - adds an intimate dimension to appreciating the work!

Genece I'm into trees -- they really grab my heart and attention in autumn when they change colors and fall to ground. I love watching them strip to nothing...stark and ready for winter. With my new blog facelift, I am able to share more of my techniques and thoughts which I am enjoying. The other blog theme I was using didn't allow anything but a couple of lines and the image.

I love blending lots of colors digitally…layering and shaping color into beautiful landscapes while adding texture and creating shadows. It takes a lot of time and patience to paint traditional subjects using digital tools. ...
