General Board of Church and Society Hundreds of people gathered in front of the White House on June 11 to demonstrate their support for a Commission of Inquiry into U.S. torture activities. Following the demonstration, 33 religious leaders met with White House senior staff members to discuss their request.

Government's essentail role is to protect the health and safety of its citizens. Allowing private sector accountants control who gets what coverage is an example of our government failing to fulfill one of its basic obligations to those who live here. Every person deserves basic comprehensive health insurance and those who want more can pay for ... Read Morethe bells and whistles! My daughter who was born with a disability and others like her should not lose out on protection for their health because they will never be the CEO's in corporate America it should just be part of living in the wealthiest and greatest nation in the world.
