General George Washington "While we are contending for our own liberty, we should be very cautious not to violate the rights of conscience in others, ever considering that God alone is the judge of the hearts of men, and to him only in this case they are answerable." ~ GEORGE WASHINGTON, letter to Benedict Arnold, Sep. 14, 1775

Ferry Farm was George Washington's boyhood home. George Washington moved to Ferry Farm in 1738 and lived there until his late teens. Historic Kenmore is the home of Betty Washington Lewis, sister of George Washington, and her husband, patriot Fielding Lewis.

I think people should go back and read the real history books and start appreciating the fact that heroes like George and the others are the reason this country was and can be the greatest nation in the world. We had values and moral integrity back then, even when I was growing up . We need our children and granchildren to respect our country and ... See Morethe liberties that go with it. Maybe our !@#& leaders need to take a real history class. They seem to forget their oath to represent the People of this country and not themselves.
