Eric Fidler Don't leave This Week for GMA. You're too smart for GMA!

Shail Govani

Shail Govani glad to see the "in memoriam" piece featured the tragedy at Ft Hood first. I believe that every week's "In Memoriam" should feature the military losses first... While I agree it's worth memorializing the other losses in the political world, I believe the deaths of those serving for our country should be featured first in this segment.

We need health care reform what we can't afford is reform that costs $1 trillion. We need to allow the system to create competition allowing cross state insurance sales would do that. Competition within in free market will control costs.

It's about time....I just received a Healthcare petition in today's mail. It should be voted on this weekend. AARP knows which side it's bread is buttered on, but it sure took a lot of letters to get them off their collective asses.

Misleading posting the: (AGAINST TURKISH FLAG IN CYPRUS MAOUNTAINS?)
Is posted on internet sites including the Facebook by Turkish extremist under the above name and, their intention is to mislead the people into signing on to this site in support..., and further to distort the truth from history.
As we all know Cyprus was attacked on July 20, 1974 by the brutal invading forces of Turkey, with the excuse to save the Turkish people, created chaos for the Greek and Turkish population by, forcing more than 200.000 refugees in their own Land and, systematically were killing women, children, and families, and forcing them out of their homes, Turkey has claimed that they were only relocating the General Population. But in Bosnia they called in Ethnic Cleansing!!! and up to now many unarmed civilians (prisoners of war) are still missing and presumed killed by their captors.
Now that over 35 years have past and the Turkish Government has accomplished nothing having occupied the Northern Side of Cyprus, except maintaining 30,000 occupied troops, at a cost over the years in billions of dollars, wasted at the expense of the frail Turkish economy and no real future for the invaded side of the Island. Ordinary moderate Turkish people they see that and disapprove it.
As for the individuals who posted on the internet the picture showing the Mountain of Pendadactilos with the Turkish flag on it, the only thing they have achieved is to demonstrate to the entire world the mentality of the Turkish Government. Where is the logic in permitting their army to destroy the physical environment of a beautiful mountain, in order to demonstrate provocatively that those mountains are under Turkish occupation and they are in command of the occupied part of Cyprus..., and continue doing so, at the time they very well know that if they do not discontinue the occupation of Northern Cyprus they will never enter the European Union.... Patty Bradshaw Bennett I was chuckling listening to your guests on Nov. 1st talking about the 23rd congressional race. They were so ignorant of the area and the real story behind the race, and were dead wrong when they said the Republicans had it.

P.S.2 By the way, there is no such thing as ANY affordable agency that will provide respite so Main Caregivers can get away for an afternoon. The current plethora of home care agencies all declare themselves "non-medical" which is the most ridiculous basis upon which to form your company. Any senior citizen has medical needs or else they would ... Read Morenot need in- home care and supervision. What good is it to hire Companions or CNAs who are "forbidden to give medicines or eyedrops" by State Law? I am thinking that is the same law from coast to coast. Train them and change the law so they CAN "dispense medicine" (oral and eyedrops, only...not IVs.)...otherwise, we have no one to take our place. These seniors with dementia or Alzheimer's need their medicine, especially those eye drops, every three hours or so. By the time we would drive 20 minutes away from the house, we would only have one hour "out" before needing to travel that distance right back home, plus you have to figure out hours or discuss what happened and be done by the time the worker is suppposed to quit for the day.

Peter no this wasnt a referendum on the President but what it did show is that a candidate can't win anymore by aligning himself with the president and just comparing his oponent to Bush. The thing that was interesting is that all the exit polls show that the public is much less focused on health care than the pundits which means that the closed we get to mid year elections the more difficult the vote is.

Same here, it was a more constrained and focused side to Al Sharpton today that I had not seen in some time, actually if at all. I'd never had him completely pegged as the opposite either.

I often disagree with George Will, but he was very funny in his own curmudgeonly way this morning, and it reminded me of why I like seeing him on your show. A civilized and learned man, and the kind of smart conservative I enjoy debating.
