City of Gillette FYI: a misleading story in tonight's News-Record: "Fox Park will join Gillette."The City Council has not voted to annex Fox Park. Prior to any vote, the annexation must go before the Gillette City Planning Commission for a public hearing, and then on to a public hearing @ the City Council. City of Gillette Adult seasonal flu clinic: 7am to 9pm Dec. 4 @ Campbell County Public Health. This clinic is for adults age 19 & older. Cost is $15. Priority groups are the only groups receiving the H1N1 Vaccine.
City of Gillette FYI - City offices will be closed Thursday and Friday this week. Solid Waste will pick up the Thursday trash route tomorrow (one day early.) The Friday trash route will be picked up on Monday, November 30th. Have a great Thanksgiving! PIO - Joe Lunne

Ryan Zorn will travel down Highway 59 (past the Fishing Lake, Perkins, etc..) and will turn onto I-90 to travel to the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis at 1:15pm today. The City will again have the "Citizen’s Choice Award." Citizens around Gillette can vote for their favorite decorated home within the City. Awards: one 1st place winner ($250); one 2nd place winner ($150); & one 3rd place winner ($75). Judging for the Citizen’s Choice Award will also take place Nov 30th - Dec 6th betwe...en 5pm and 10pm. Winners will be announced @ the Dec 21st City Council Meeting. Winners may choose to receive a gift card or a credit applied to utility bill. Nomination forms for the Citizen’s Choice Award are available at the City Clerk’s office in City Hall (201 E. 5th Street) & on the City’s website at: http://www.ci.gillette.wy.us/Clerk/Citiz

City of Gillette Reminder: Holiday Lighting Contest judging will take place Nov 30th - Dec 6th between the hours of 5pm and 10pm. Residents participating should have their lights on during this time. No schedule for the judging will be available. The City will be divided into five areas and prizes (1st, 2nd & 3rd) will be awarded in ea...ch area. Residential awards will be: 1st place-$100; 2nd place-$75; and 3rd place-$50. (continued)
City of Gillette After tomorrow's funeral services @ 10am for Staff Sgt. Ryan Zorn in Wright, his remains will be transferred to the Black Hills National Cemetery for burial. The procession will leave Wright at 12:30pm and pass through Gillette @ 1:15pm. I don't have route, but I think it's safe to say, you could line up near the Garn...er Lake Road/I-90 intersection.The procession intends to travel through Moorcroft at 1:45 and Sundance at 2:15 before arriving in Sturgis at 3pm.

Ryan Zorn's body will arrive at the Gillette Campbell County airport tomorrow (Sunday, November 22nd) at 10:59 a.m. The public is encouraged to attend to pay respect to honor Staff Sgt. City of Gillette The City was notified earlier today that the body of Army Staff Sgt. Ryan Zorn will arrive at the Gillette airport on Sunday. The family has given permission to let the pubic know everyone is welcome to be at the airport when the body arrives. We do not have the time yet, but will notify everyone when we hear. It would... be very respectful if as many people as possible showed up at the airport Sunday. PIO - Lunne
