Ginger Rue I recently interviewed Cal McAllister of Wexley School for Girls, a marketing firm in Seattle. Among other things, Cal addresses in this interview whether he could use his knowledge of marketing and branding to go back in time and make himself cool in middle school.

Ginger Rue I uploaded a photo to my website. For those of you who don't know what a luddite I am, let me just say that this is the equivalent of Fred Flintstone faxing something.

Ginger Rue If you're interested in the marketing of YA novels....

Today we have something a little unique. We have marketing advice from an author, Ginger Rue, who's character Emily hires a PR rep to improve her image in school. I just finished the book and it is fun! Wish I would have thought about it! I highly recommend the book. ...

Ginger, at first I didn't read this blog because I thought it was just a positive review of 'Brand New Emily.' I clicked the 'Like' button because I like it when you get good reviews, but I don't always read them. Anywho, something made me look again, and I clicked on the blog. It's a great interview! I have to tell you that I haven't purchased... Read More your book yet. I have gone every weekend to a Barnes and Noble in Tucson (there are two) to see if they have it yet. I know I could order it online, but I go to the bookstore once every weekend because we're book people. I love the smell of bookstores (with or without coffee/cheesecake). I'll keep pestering B&N until they order some. :-) I'm thinking I need to pester a manager who has something to do with ordering books. I'm wanting to make sure they order more than ONE for me.

Ginger Rue For my website, I interviewed Leslie Gornstein of E! network. She's an entertainment columnist who tells it like it is, always in the most hilarious way possible. She explains how middle school and high school are very much like Hollywood:
